What the Brand Says
Bombe returns with notes of jasmine, poached pear and honey. We’ve enjoyed some great coffees from Bombe in recent years, so it was no surprise to see this new crop perform so well in our blind cupping of Ethiopian samples. After last year’s washed lot, we’re back with the Bombe natural, an old favourite we’ve returned to a number of times. The station in Bombe village serves smallholder farmers from the surrounding region. It is managed by DWD, a company that also manages a number of other stations across Sidama. Dukale Wakayo runs the station and is well known locally for his sparkling volleyball career. Born in the Bensa District to coffee-farming parents, he began his career trading sugarcane before moving into coffee.Bombe returns with notes of jasmine, poached pear and honey.
