This area is Fair Trade certified, meaning our Sumatra Takengon coffees are sustainably farmed and are processed under fair labor conditions. We roast the Sumatra Takengon bean at a higher degree resulting in a French Roast. Sumatra Takengon FT French is the darkest Fair Trade coffee we carry. The brown sugar notes are caramelized resulting in a coffee that is both syrupy, rich and low in acidity. Expect a flowery and earthy finish.
